STRAFA is the Strathmore Alumni and Friends Association, an international body representing and servicing the needs of its Members. STRAFA was founded on December 10th 2005 to bring together the alumni of Strathmore University, Kianda School and Strathmore School, and their families and friends, wherever they reside in the world.
That All May Be One
STRAFA firmly believes in Strathmore motto:
"We dedicate ourselves to the advancement of education through teaching, scholarship and service to society by providing an all-round education in an atmosphere of freedom and responsibility, creating a culture of continuous improvement, fostering the highest moral standards and developing a spirit of service and respect for others"

STRAFA provides:

  • a platform for networking for its members for both social and professional aspects of their lives
  • a unified voice for the assistance of the development of Strathmore Family of Schools in Kenya
  • a conscience for the greater good of Kenya through charitable activities and civic participation
  • an enabling environment for Kenyan Companies to participate in the global economy, and vice-versa.
  • a pool of experience and talent from which companies, international organizations, governments and others may source qualified leaders
  • a tight alumni community focused on projects to better Strathmore, Kenya, and the World
  • a real tangible destination with local chapters for those that share in the Strathmore philosophies to find like minded individuals

    The University’s Crest contains a lion to represent Kenya, a rose to represent love (the source of all good desires and actions), and three hearts for each of the races in Kenya (African, Asian, and European) which were segregated in society at the time of founding but integrated at Strathmore from its beginning.
